I have loved photography my entire life. My dad was a photographer and we had all the equipment when I was a kid to learn to roll my own black and white film, develop it and print it in our dark room in the basement. I learned at Hackensack High the details of making a great shot in both my photography and film making classes. I loved the creativity of photography. This love was an expensive habit and soon I dropped it as my first love. As time went by and digital cameras started making it on the scene, I thought there might be a good one to save me money in film and developing, and maybe just maybe it could happen and I could get back to my first love of photography. I had been a member of the Rochelle Park Ambulance Squad back in the 80's when the American Legion ran two rigs as a service to the town. I was 5 point certified. This was before the requirements were changed when I didn't have to be an EMT. I loved working with them and I also learned how to not be a problem on the scene of an emergency. Since 9/11, where I lost a friend, something happened that told me to take my photography more seriously. You never know what tomorrow could bring, and I wanted to remember all the good men and women who serve in our Fire, Police, Rescue and Ambulance squads for all time, and give them the acknowledgment they deserve. That's why I shoot here. I will bring my photography experience, my EMS experience and my ability to get the shot to serve our neighbors who give of themselves to protect us. I have included some of my images from the past year. Take a look and you will get an idea of my style. Hope to meet some of you on the scene. I not only shoot fire scenes, I have pages on both Model Mayhem and One Model Place. I shoot NASCAR races, artistic nudes, skylines and night photography.
