Entrapment calls out rescue task force in Greenwich

Crews just removed door and got driver out.

GREENWICH, NJ - On June 6, 2010 Greenwich Fire Department and Greenwich Emergency Squad was called out for a head on accident with entrapment at Route 173 and Old Greenwich Church Road.

Being this accident was with possible entrapment the Southern Warren County task force was called out bringing out Bloomsbury Rescue Squad, Franklin Rescue Squad, and Lopatcong Emergency Squad. Upon arrival of units it was found a two car mva with entrapment. A medical helicopter was called for as well. Rescue crews went to work freeing the driver that was entrapped. It was determined that a second helicopter would be needed as well.

Once the driver side door and "B" post was removed driver was taken out and taken to awaiting ambulance. Northstar arrived first and transported one driver to trauma center. As Northstar was taking off Atlantic helicopter arrived and loaded up their victim. Landing zone was established at a baseball field right next to the accident by Greenwich Fire Department.
