COSHOCTON, Ohio – Shortly after a neighbor called the Coshocton County 911 Center, the tones were dropped for the Three Rivers Fire District and mutual aid called for from the Coshocton Fire Department. Both departments went en route shortly before midnight on Saturday, March 28, 2009.
Coshocton’s Engine 304 arrived on scene and found the garage, located in the rear of the residence, was fully engulfed in flames. Three Rivers’s Engine 402 arrived on scene they attached a LDH line to a hydrant and established a supply line to Engine 304.
Firefighters from both departments battled the blaze with hand lines from both ends of the garage. It was not long before the flames started to darken down and the situation was contained. Firefighters continued to hit the hot spots and performed overhaul for about the next hour.
Assisting on scene was a crew from the Coshocton County EMS, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office and the Coshocton County R.E.A.C.T.
